Hi there! It has been a while since I’ve posted a Food Fight! report. This time round, I’m gonna introduce you guys to this restaurant: Gyu Kaku Japanese BBQ Restaurant @ CHIJMES
Last Thursday, our Conrad Reservations team went for a sumptous dinner to celebrate boss’s farewell party. I swear to god that the food was ambrosial. From the tender Wagyu beef to the succulent prawns, everything seems to be a match from heaven. The salad appetiser was so delicious that I actually finish them all. Fancy hearng this from a carnivore eh?
Ambience wise, the whole restaurant had Japanese-Zenn theme; Wooden tables, dim lighting and lots of bamboos around. I would say that it’s a nice place to chill and relax albeit the smoke from the BBQ is choking.
The price was a bit steep though. We ordered the cheapest set at about S$300++ for 4 persons and the total bill for the 20 of us added up to S$2117.00. That includes the beverages we ordered of course.
Location was superb; Right smacked in the heart of the city at CHIJMES. Need I say more about directions to get there?
Here are some of the photos from our celebration:

By the way, Yebisu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yebisu#Brands) beer taste so much nicer than Asahi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asahi_beer). Asahi is very dry to the throat which cause a weird after taste effect. Shaun says that Asahi is just like soda to the Japanese. Who knows?
